Tips On Selling Your Home In La Jolla

Homes are selling to more women in la jolla. Find out the best ways to target your home to female buyers

Making your home appeal to the female buyer

Not all La Jolla Buyers are couples

According to census results from the New York Times, for the first time in history, more than half of women in the US are living without a spouse. Quite a change from a time when women ran the household and men were the breadwinners.

As of 2005, 51 percent of women polled stated they were living without a significant other, up from 35 percent in 1950 and 49 percent in 2000. To think - married couples in the U.S are considered a minority for the first time! This trend could break a new mold in social and workplace policies, possibly the ways government and employers mandate benefits.

There are a few factors that are driving the statistical shift. Women are marrying later in life or living with partners more often for longer time periods.

This has also affected the buying demographic out there. Women are becoming more and more financially independent. And coupled with the fact that statistically women are considered better budgeters, we are seeing a growing trend of women buying homes not only alone, but earlier in life.

Homes Are Selling To Female Buyers In La Jolla

What does it mean to buyers and sellers?

Well, when showing a home, it would be wise for sellers to appeal to the senses. As women are considered more sensory than men, sights and smells will become more important for sellers to consider.

  • Burn a candle.
  • Keep décor neutral and uncluttered.
  • Have soft music playing in the background.

Not only will it make your home more appealing in general but these small differences might just be what is needed to sell your home to one of the many (and growing number of) women buyers out there!

Sell your LaJolla home for more by doing some basics before listing your home for sale!

Before listing your home you'd be well advised to take a critical look at the overall condition. If prospective buyers see that minor repairs they may take that to the next level and assume that there are probably major problems with the home.

Before listing your home you'd be well advised to take a critical look at the overall condition.  If prospective buyers see that minor repairs they may take that to the next level and assume that there are probably major problems with the home.  To prevent that misconception you should make sure that your home has its best foot forward.   Considering that major areas of your La Jolla home, such as the roof, mechanicals etc are in good working order, the following covers other areas that in most cases are inexpensive, but require some elbow grease.

La Jolla CA Bird Rock's Contruction Comes to a Finish

Bird Rock Development Wraps Up

Bird Rock Renovations of La Jolla CA

Bird Rock Construction

Construction began on the first two roundabouts being added to Bird Rock as part of the Barratt American Seahaus development project in November, 2007. Using developer fees from La Jolla, bicycle grants and a $2 million "Smart Growth" competitive grant we won from the San Diego Association of Governments, the construction project was fully funded.

The specified goals for the renovation include replacement of sewer main and laterals replacement on the 5600 and 5700 blocks of the boulevard and sewer main replacement in Forward Street, from La Jolla Hermosa to Beaumont and in La Jolla Mesa near Linda Rosa and Colima, the La Jolla Hermosa/Forward traffic circle is also in this package, and sewer main replacement on La Jolla Mesa, just south of Colima to just north of Linda Rosa, and on Colima, from Taft to La Jolla Mesa.

The recent construction of three additional roundabouts and other improvements along La Jolla Boulevard and surrounding surface streets has been perhaps the most intrusive component of the construction process as a whole with its disrupting of traffic along La Jolla Boulevard throughout recent months.
