Prepare Your Ocean Front La Jolla Home For A Successful Pre-Showing

Prepare Your Ocean Front La Jolla Home For A Successful Pre-Showing

Ready to sell your La Jolla Ocean Front luxury home? Just like in human interaction, the initial meeting between a home and its potential owner relies a lot on the first impression. It can make or break a deal so make sure that potential buyers see how it will be a wonderful living space that is worth their hard-earned money.

Once you have decided to put your La Jolla high end home in the market, do some minor changes just in case your realtor decides to spontaneously drop by with a potential buyer. Don't forget to check the exterior of your home. Mow the lawns and trim those wayward hedges and shrubbery. Properly maintain the garden and flowerbeds by weeding and edging them. Sweeping the walkways or if it's winter, shovelling the snow and ice, help create a welcoming atmosphere that will make the buyer comfortable.

A clean porch and foyer is necessary to keep the interest of a potential La Jolla luxury home owner. An umbrella stand and boot tray also show attention to detail. Once inside the house, make the spaces clutter-free. Wipe down those kitchen counters and floors. Clean the bathrooms and make sure the toilet seat lids are down. The beds should look neat and comfortable to sleep in. Garbage containers should be emptied.

Even though it is necessary to welcome people who are practically strangers to your La Jolla luxury home for sale, it is also wise to keep your belongings safe. Valuable property such as jewelry, money, gadgets, credit cards, ID's and other small items which can fit easily in a pocket, should be kept in a safe place. Larger expensive items such as art pieces and vases should be kept out of reach.

Once the potential buyer has walked around your La Jolla Ocean Front luxury real estate, you have to make them comfortable because we want to invoke the mood that encourages them to buy. Opening the windows and drapes to allow fresh air in and turning on the lights help crate this mood. Just don't forget to cut down on the unnecessary noise by turning off television sets and putting pets in a secure place. Make the room temperature relaxing and create a cozy atmosphere by lighting up the fireplace and putting soft music on, and you'll be assured that your guest gets into a buying mood.

WELCOME TO LA JOLLA

Welcome to La Jolla, we're glad you're here.  If you are new to La Jolla and would like to make some new friends come and join the La Jolla Newcomers Club

The Club has been helping new residents to La Jolla get acquainted with their new community for over 50 years.  The only requirement is that you live in the 92037 zip code.

From September through June, the La Jolla Newcomers Club monthly meeting is held on the second Wednesday of the month at one of the local La Jolla restaurants.  Board meetings take place from August to June on the first Thursday of the month at the Mount La Jolla Clubhouse.  The board meetings are open to all.

New to La Jolla?

There are many different get-togethers for social activities such as book clubs, museum trips, breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

There are many group outings and other events to let you become acquainted with your new La Jolla neighbors.

In September there is a President's Reception to introduce the new Board to the members of the Club.  There is a Holiday Gala where the gentlemen can don their tuxedo and the ladies have an excuse to buy that formal gown they have been dreaming of.

The Club hosts an Academy Awards Party where you can watch the Academy Awards events on a giant TV screen, dress like one of the stars and even cast a ballot for your favorite movie.

What's the catch???  You need only be a new resident in the 92037 zip code within three months prior to submitting your application
